The first edition of my book released in 2015, but so many pieces have been added/ changed since its initial release, that I was led to update, revise, and remove the piano methodology section from the first edition, and replace it with an entirely new section of uplifting and motivational devotionals for such a time as this.
Life is a journey that manifests through numerous experiences and scenarios. As humans, we often see things from a perspective reflective of what we are interested in. Our interests align with our gifts and talents – our DNA. For me, music is in my DNA. I was given a prophetic vision of my life as a flowing music staff suspended infinitely over a lush green meadow. As a conductor, it was my joy to collect and place individual notes on the staff. The notes represented individual people, who when they sang or played their notes, became an integral part of a symphony being created at precisely the right moment in time.
Every individual has been created as part of the tapestry of Good Ideas because each one of us is a God Idea. This book is written in a musical format; as a composition with a series of musical movements. Preludes and fugues, melodies and harmonies, and a musical directive called, Selah, comprise the expression of our personal journey and the revelation learned along the way. Selah means to “pause and meditate,” which is to say, “here’s how it plays out.” For each of us, life’s journey is about what we have learned, as well as those things we wish we had known. Praying and believing for each reader through Was I Not Listening or Did They Not Tell Me? to be better equipped and empowered in playing the life song you have been gifted to release.

Prior to our adoption, already a young parent of three, I received a prophetic word explaining that I would be ‘doing kids for a long time,’ i.e. parenting/homeschooling/ministering to kids for many years, and exhorting me: ‘don’t forget about the rest of the world because the world needs what you have.’ For 2019, I am fervently seeking and asking Holy Spirit what my Heavenly Father placed in me that the world needs. I have Jesus. Jesus has me. The world, i.e. this generation, desperately needs Jesus! I’m all or nothing, thus I am ALL in for Jesus – all of Him in all of me.
I have a passion to see all children come to know their identity in Christ, as well as how their Heavenly Father has creatively gifted each and every one as His Kingdom ambassadors on Earth. I desire to see each one nurtured in these specific areas for His glory. I carry a God-sized vision that He will bring to fruition because I have repeatedly said, “Here I am, send me.”
My Heavenly Father has also ordered my steps with gifting, skill, knowledge, and experience on the piano/keyboard, as well as guided my spirit to follow Holy Spirit leading in such a powerful way that He can create/play through me spontaneously (in the NOW) for as long as He desires over any individual, land (nation), or circumstance, in any key with specific tunings/temperaments, and settings, in order to shift the atmosphere with Heaven’s heartbeat in the power of Christ.
The end result is more of Jesus – His attributes as Healer, as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, as wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, awe of Him, and infinitely more. I follow His leading on the piano/keyboard as His vessel of others encountering the Presence, peace, and healing of the One who loves each one of us most/best, and IS the Power that changes everything!
My heart is increasingly burdened for the children of this generation – from the unborn to the trafficked to the orphaned to the impoverished to the persecuted/abused to the demonic indoctrination going on concerning gender and life itself. We sponsored different orphan ministries throughout the years, adopted a forever sibling group of three from Guatemala, and throughout all our homeschooling years, prayed for the children in the 10/40 Window. We live in a self-focussed society, oftentimes oblivious to the disenfranchised all around the world, or ill-equipped with a counterfeit social justice lens. It’s vitally important in the day to day that we don’t forget to give thanks for the many blessings we’ve been given and oftentimes take for granted. It’s also critical that we don’t forget to pray for and sow into those who have not been as blessed. When we pick up His mantle to care for/share with those who are on our Heavenly Father’s heart, we stay aligned for Heaven to impact Earth on behalf of those crying out to Him.
Thank you Heavenly Father that You see, love, and have good plans for each and every child – that You are at work on each of their behalf turning everything the kingdom of darkness intended for their harm to good. Raise up, provide for, propel those who desire to be Your heart, hands, and feet for each and every one in this NOW time – to bring Heaven’s lovingkindness, goodness, protection, provisions, healing, purpose, etc. into each of their treasured and precious lives on this Earth to the glory of Jesus! Let those who are reading this page right now agree, “Here I am, Lord, send me.”J
In what specific areas do you see yourself being the heart, hands, and feet of Jesus on behalf of the children of this generation, especially those the kingdom of darkness is specifically targeting: the unborn, the trafficked, the orphaned, the impoverished, the sick, the persecuted/abused, those subjected to the demonic indoctrination going on concerning gender, worldview, etc.?
